Submission procedure
The Editorial Board of the scientific journal ‘Grain Crops’ accepts for publication only manuscripts relevant to the topics and issues covered by the scientific publication, concerning scientific research on cereals, grain legumes, groats and oilseeds (as defined by the Law of Ukraine ‘On Grain and Grain Market in Ukraine’ dated on January 9, 2007 № 547-V). Articles published in the journal are recognised as professional only for the speciality Н1 (201) Agronomy, in the field of knowledge ‘Н Agriculture, forestry, fisheries and veterinary medicine’.
Submissions should be formatted according to the requirements of the Submission guidelines for authors and submitted to the editorial office by email to red.bul.isgsz@gmail.com as separate files:
- the manuscript text should be in Ukrainian or English, with abstracts in Ukrainian and English (no less than 1,800 and no more than 2,500 printed characters) and keywords in the language of the article.
- information about all authors (in Ukrainian and English): last name, first name, middle name, academic degree and title, position, affiliation (with indication of laboratory, department, faculty), and email address. Each author's ORCID (digital identifier) must be indicated (if necessary, you can register to obtain an ORCID at https://orcid.org; this service is free for individuals). The corresponding author shall additionally provide their personal telephone number and email address.
- the manuscript shall be submitted with a cover letter from the institution and an expert opinion on the permission for open access publications.
Manuscripts submitted for publication in a scientific journal must contain the results of field trials (conducted over at least two years) and/or laboratory experiments, be of theoretical and practical significance and relevance, and not have been published elsewhere previously. Reprint of materials published in the journal is not allowed.
The Editorial Board reserves the right not to consider submissions that do not comply with the Submission Guidelines (tab ‘For authors’) or do not correspond to the journal's thematic profile.
Articles that do not meet the journal's requirements will be returned to the author(s) with recommendations for revision.
The Editorial Board informs the author about the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript for submission. Thereafter, the Editorial Board submits the manuscripts for peer review. Finally, the Editor-in-Chief makes the decision on publication of manuscript based on the reviewers' conclusions.
The author should be guided by the principles of academic integrity. The author is responsible for the correctness and accuracy of the wording and the academic style of the text.
